15Lubricate new bearing halves with oil and install in crankcase with bearing edge flush with block

16Apply CIVIC Gel-Seal" to mating surfaces of cylinder block and crankcaseApply oil to threads of block to crankcase screws and attach block to crankcaseTorque small screws to 84-106 inIbs(10-12 Nm) and large screws to 18-21 ftIbs(24-28 Nm) in sequence shown17Apply OIVIC Gasket Sealing Compound to casing of new upper crankshaft seal, and oil to the seal lipsINotel When starting seal over the crankshaft, be sure the lips fit properly and the seal is square in the bore
