Propeller Shaft Bearing Housing Service 127 1Remove both seals using OMCPulier Bridge, PIN 432127, and OMC Large Puller Jaws, PIN 432129Position plate on top of housing to support bridge and tighten jaws securely behind lower sealInspect the bearings in placeIf bearing is removed for any reason it must be replaced2829 2Remove either bearing using OMC Puller Bridge, PIN 432127, and OMCLarge Puller Jaws, PIN 432129Rest puller plate on top of housing to support bridge and tighten jaws securely behind bearing3Discard the bearing housing O-ringClean housing and bearings in solvent and dry thoroughlyIf bearings were not replaced, rotate needles with your fingers to check for freedom of movementInspect O-ring groove and sand off any sharp edges that would cut O-ring and prevent its sealing4Thoroughly clean the four bearing housing retaining screws in solventDiscard the retaining screws' O-rings5Inspect the bearing housing anodeReplace anode if it has been reduced to two-thirds its original size (one-third eroded)
