32Position the crankcase on the cylinder blockInstall all main bearing screws and nuts finger tight28 133Install the crankcase taper pin34Using softface mallet, lightly tap bottom ofthe crankshaftto seat the lower main bearing1291 35Apply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to outside diameter of two new lower crankshaft sealsInstall both seals with lip facing up using OMC Seal Installer, PIN 339752Liberally apply OMC Moly Lube between the seals36Lightly coat new crankcase head O-ring with OMC Triple-Guard grease and install itInstall the crankcase headCoat the threaded portion of the crankcase head screws with OMC Gasket Sealing CompoundInstall the screws finger tightrJ1l 37Starting at the center, torque all main bearing screws and nuts in stages to 18-20 ftIbs(24-27 Nm)1321 38Temporarily install the flywheel and key to rotate crankshaft and check for binding39Install crankcase flange screws and pan support bracketsTorque screws to 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)40Tighten the lower crankcase head screws to 96-120 inIbs(11-14 Nm)41Lightly coat both sides of new exhaust cover gasket with OMC Gasket Sealing CompoundInstall the gasket and exhaust cover331 42Starting at the center and expanding outward, torque all screws in stages to 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)
