Powerhead ServicingAll Models Removal
i twist and remove all spark plug leadsOn electric start
models, disconnect the battery cables at the battery1Rope Start modelsremove the starter assemblyRefer to Section 7
To avoid accidental starting of the engine while servicing,
ill 2Remove three screws and remove the starter ratchett=I the cable from t=I cable
3Remove the starter lockout cable clamp and disconnect the shift lever4Tiller modelsremove the throttle cable pivot bracket
5Disconnect the shift lever 6Remove the stop switch ground lead and remove the stop switch lead from cavity "E" of the stator 5-pin Amphenol connectorUse OMC Pin Remover, PIN 322698, and isopropyl alcohol
