clockwise to achieve specified timing 5Repeat Steps and 3
& 4Stop the engineTo adjust, turn the idle speed screw

INote This procedure should provide the best idle characteristics
while allowing engine idle speeds in gear ranging from 750 to 850 RPM, depending on propeller selection If idle speed is too high, check induction system for air leaks If idle speed is too low when engine condition is correct, decrease idle timing to achieve desired RPMExample: from ATDC to ATDCThrottle Cam

1Verify the throttle arm is firmly against its idle stop
2Hold the coupler shell on the coupler ball with light pressureRotate the cam follower and inspect the clearance between the follower and the throttle camIf the cam follower does not touch the cam and the clearance between the cam and follower is less than 0.010 in(0,25 mm), the adjustment is correct3If the adjustment is not correct, turn the shell farther onto the link to increase the clearanceTurn the shell farther off the link to decrease the clearanceWhen the proper clearance is achieved, snap the shell coupler onto the throttle cam ball4To test this adjustment, rotate the twist grip to wide open throttle position, and then back to idle positionVerify the throttle arm is against its idle stop and that there is approximately 0.010 in(0,25 mm) of clearance between the throttle cam and cam followerWide Open Throttle Stop 1With the engine not running, advance the twist grip to the wide open throttle position
