Hydraulic Unit Servicing Removal 1Raise the motor and engage the trailering levers2Remove the blue and green wires from pump motor connector housing3Remove the spring clip from the cylinder pin
4Thread OMC Adapter, PI 340624onto OMC Slide Hammer, PI 391008 Screw the adapter into the cylinder pin and remove the pin
rn 5.rod Remove the rod fromthe stern from the angle adjustRemove one of the 3f4 in locknuts ment brackets.6Remove the unit from the stern brackets fa enough to remove the ground lead from the pump motor mounting screwDisassembly Thoroughly clean unit before disassembling Scrub all outside surfaces with stiff bristle brush and hot soapy waterThis will prevent dirt particles or other foreign matter from entering the unit while you are working on itThere may be high pressure behind some check valvesTo avoid injury when removing check valves, be sure to keep shop cloth covering them until the pressure is releasedWear safety glassesAlways use "lint free" shop cloth when handling hydraulic components
