rJl 6Remove the starter housing spring CD and the starter pawl Q)
from the starter assembly
1817Using screwdriver, pry open the pulley lock ring CD, and
remove ring from the starter
Remove the friction plates washer)
and friction plate spring
9Hold the pulley in the starter housing while turning the starter over, legs downHold fingers clear ofthe pulley and jar the starter housing against bench to dislodge the rewind spring and pulleyRemove the pulley bushing from the pulley
