1Using punch and mallet, drive the two seals out of the housingDiscard the seals
2Remove the a-ring from the bearing housing and discard3Clean the bearing housing in solvent to remove sealer from the seal bore and the a-ring groove

new seals back to back in the housing using OMC Seal Installer, PIN 335823Apply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to the metal casings of the seals before installingInstall the inner seal with flush lip facing toward the bearing housing, then the outer seal with extended lip facing away from the bearing housingApply OMC Triple-Guard grease to the seal lips after installing
5Lightly apply OMC Triple-Guard grease to new a-ring and install in its groove in the bearing housingDriveshaft Shimming Using Tool, PIN 393185, and Service Kit, PIN 433032
