Ignition Coil ReplacementAll Models Removal

1Twist and remove cover to remove the spark plug and primary leads from the ignition coilsf1l 2Notice the fastener and washer orientation before removing any screws3Remove the screws, coil, and washersInstallation

f1l1Assemble the correct sequence of washers and locate the ignition coil on the powerheadInstall and tighten the retaining screws to torque of 48-96 inIbs(5,4-10,8 Nm)2Apply light coating of OMC Triple-Guard grease to the ribbed portion of the spark plug ceramics and to the openings of each of the spark plug lead coversInstall the spark plug leads3Apply light coating of OMC Triple-Guard grease to the opening of each primary lead cover and install the coversObserve proper wire routing and ignition timing Orangeblue primary lead must be connected to the No.1 ignition coilDR2619
