1Inspect bushing in the timer base and inspect powerhead timer base bossBoth surfaces must be free of dirt, metal chips, and scratches1sl 2Align adapter with threaded holes in powerhead Slotted area of adapter must face starboard side3Install adapter mounting screwsTorque screws to 48-60 inIbs(5,5-7 Nm)1sl 4Apply OMC Moly Lube grease around powerhead boss and timer base bushingand into retainer groove 121 5Lubricate timer base retainer with outboard lubricantf81 6Install retainer in timer base groove with retainer tabs positioned to right of leverSqueeze tabs and insert timer base into adapter7Position the three retainer clamps on adapter8Apply OMC Nut Lock to the three retainer clamp screwsInstall screws and torque them to 25-35 inIbs(2,8-4 Nm)
