Disconnect battery cables from battery before servlcmg electrical systemsFailure to do so could result in injury from electrical sparks or from contact with moving parts if accidental cranking or starting occurs
Provide sufficient slack at motor end to permit steering and tilting of motor without binding
1Apply OMC Triple-Guard grease to shaded area in figure
OJ 2Align arrows and push connectors firmly togetherW 3Secure the connectors with retainer rn4Route the positive (red) battery cable to starter
solenoidSecure cable to starter solenoidCover terminal with rubber boot
