Set Timing Pointer
INote If the timing pointer bracket has been disturbed, check the
t iming pointer alignment1Remove the three spark plugs from the cylinder head
2Loosen the screw securing the timing pointerCenter the timing pointerTighten the screw3Rotate the flywheel clockwise until the cast-in TOC mark is approximately in(25,4 mm) past the timing pointerNEVER rotate the flywheel counterclockwise
4Install 01C Piston Stop Tool, PIN 384887, in the No1 cylinderAdjust the tool to make contact with the piston
