10Install the starboard locknutReplace locknut if definite resistance is not felt11Torque starboard tilt tube nut to 50-54 ftIbs(68-73 Nm), then loosen nut 18 to 14 turn

Install the tilt cam and collar on the tilt tube
13Install the steering shaft and thrust washer
Install the steering shaft keeperApply OMC Locquic Primer and OMC Nut Lock to the splines of the steering shaft and lower mount bracketwith its unstaked side facing the mount bracketAlign the bracket with the steering arm and torque the nut to 190-210 ftIbs(258-285 Nm)
