7Remove the screws, stern bracket to trim manifold, and remove the trim and tilt unit 8For trim and tilt unit servicing information, refer to Section 8Assembly INotel Before proceeding, be sure all components have been thoroughly cleanedReplace any seals that have been removed Inspect all thrust washers and bushings for evidence of deteriorationf6l 1Install an upper steering shaft bushing, lower seal and upper seal in the swivel bracketBoth seal lips face out Coat seal's outside diameter with OMC Gasket Sealing Compound Coat the bushing and seal lips with OMC Triple-Guard grease2Install the trim and tilt unitApply OMC Locquic Primer and OMC Nut Lock to the threads of screws, stern bracket to trim manifoldInstall them looselyrJl 3Coat two tilt tube bushings with OMC Triple-Guard grease and install in swivel bracket
