CD from the starboard front of the powerhead, and one screw and nut from the port front of the powerhead
1.1Ql 12If equipped with fuel pump, remove the inlet hose from pump
modelsRemove the pump and lay the pump asideRemove the VRO pulse hose from the powerhead
Push fuel hose off fuel fittingsdon't pullIf pushing won't separate hose and fitting, carefully cut the hose along its side and peel it back to avoid damaging the fittingsr:J2l 13Use OMCUniversal Puller and Lifting Eye, PIN 321537, or OMC Lifting Fixture, PIN 396748, to lift and remove the powerhead assembly14Thread nuts onto the powerhead studs until flush to protect the threads15Place the powerhead in suitable holding fixture and remove all carburetion, ignition, and electrical components from the powerheadTo simplify reassembly and wiring installation, lay out the various screws and clamps in the order of their proper location
