tDisconnect battery cables from battery before servicing
systemsFailure to do so could result in injury from electrical sparks or from contact with moving parts if accidental cranking or starting occurs
Provide sufficient slack at motor end to permit steering and tilting of motor without binding
rv figureOMC Triple-Guard grease to shaded area shown in 1: Apply
[i] 2Align arrows and push connectors firmly together3Secure the connectors with retainer
4Place engine cable in lower engine cover
with rubber boot
ill solenoidSecure cable to starter solenoidCover terminal
ill head ground terminal5Route the positive (red) battery cable to starter
