Electric Starter Service, 2030 Removal
INote Disconnect the battery cables at the battery
OJ 1Disconnect all the leads from the starter solenoidOJ 2Remove the vertical throttle shaft clamp screws
OJ rn 3Remove the screws and washers retaining the starter
bracket to the side of the powerheadNote that the ground lead attaches to the lower screw and has lock washer
4Remove the locknut and washer retaining the starter bracket to the front of the powerheadLift the starter bracket from the powerhead5Remove the red lead from the starter motorDisassembly
