Disassembly
1Remove the propeller or test wheel from the gearcaseInspect he condition of the propeller hub1sl 2Drain the gearcase by removing first the oil level plugthen the oil filldrain plug 3Remove the copper water tube from either the water pump or the exhaust housing
Remove the four impeller housing screws with washersSlide the impeller housing and impeller up and off the driveshaftRemove the impeller drive pin Q)
1sl 5Pry under the impeller plate to loosen itSlide the plate up and off the driveshaftScrape all gasket material from the plate, gearcase, and impeller housing6Slide the driveshaft out of the gearcase7Remove the shift lever pivot pin and discard the O-ringr;Q1 8Remove the six screws attaching the lower gearcase to the upper gearcase
