i twist and remove all spark plug leadsOn electric start
models, disconnect the battery cables at the battery2Remove the manual starter as described in Section 7'11 3Disengage the spring from pin of the throttle control lever L!J Remove the washer 4Remove four screws from the pivot bearing clamps Remove the clamps from the throttle control lever

r:;J 5Remove the pin from end of the throttle control rod Lift the armature plate link from the throttle control leverMove the throttle control lever aside6Remove the fuel pump cover Retain inside O-ring1sl 7Remove the overboard water indicator hose CD from fitting on exhaust coverRemove the hose from J-clamp
