Synchronization and Linkage Adjustments

the throttle cable from the throttle control arm and the cable trunnion pocket before beginning this procedureTiming Pointer
1Prevent accidental starting of the engine; disconnect the spark plug leadsRemove the spark plugs2Remove the three screws retaining the timing wheel coverRemove the cover
rncrankshafttheatiming pointerUsing until the cast-in TDCrotate 3Center wrench or socket, mark the in clockwise direction
on the timing wheel is approximately in(25,4 mm) past the timing pointer
INote Rotate the crankshaft in clockwise direction only
rn 4Install OMC Piston Stop,until it384887, in the No.1 pistonPIN No.1 spark plug contacts hole and turn in center portion
