Propeller Shaft Bearing Housing Service
1261 1Remove both seals using OMC Puller Bridge PIN 432127 and OMC Large Puller Jaws PIN 432129Position plate on top of housing to support bridge and tighten jaws securely behind lower sealInspect the bearings in placeIf bearing is removed for any reason, it must be replaced1271 2Remove rear bearing using OMCPulier Bridge PIN 432127 and OMC Large Puller Jaws PIN 432129Rest puller plate on top of housing to support bridge and tighten jaws securely behind bearing1281 3Remove front bearing using OMC Puller Bridge PI 432127 and OMCBearing Puller PI 432130Rest puller plate on top of housing to support bridge and tighten jaws securely behind bearing4Clean housing and bearings in solvent and dry tho roughlyIf bearings were not replaced, rotate needles with your fingers to check for freedom of movementInspect O-ring groove and sand off any sharp edges that would cut O-ring and prevent its sealing5Thoroughly clean the four bearing housing retain ing screws in solventDiscard the retaining screw O-rings6Inspect the bearing housing anodeReplace anode if it has been reduced to two-thirds its original size (one-third eroded)21047
