32Apply light coat of outboard lubricant to the corners of the connecting rod and rod capPlace frame on connecting rod using the following procedure: Position frame onto the connecting rod so the contact area of the jaw is centered in the side of the rod Tighten forcing screw until jaws contact connecting rod Slide frame down until adjustment stop contacts the connecting rodThe groove lines on the jaws must be centered on the rodcrankpin diameterThe above procedure must be followed to assure frame is squarely in position 341 33Tighten the forcing screw to torque of 23 inIbs(2,5 Nm)34Loosen both rod cap screws 1f4 turn351 35Apply preliminary torque of 40-60 inIbs(5-7 Nm) to both rod cap screws36Apply final torque of 30-32 ftIbs(40-43 Nm) in two alternate increments to both rod cap screws37Loosen forcing screw and remove the frameRepeat Steps 31 thru 36 for remaining connecting rod 4-24
