11Apply OMC Triple-Guard grease to pinion and rack housing
12Turn motor parallel with steering housing Align index mark on rack with center of pinion, and place rack in mesh with pinionFit steering cable sleeve into notch in rack base13Position cover on rackHold down cover and install long (silver colored) screws at locations marked "L"Install short (brass colored) screws at locations marked "5"Tighten screws to 7-10 inIbs(0,8-1,1 Nm)
