Continuity TestNegative Circuit, HBF2
INote To avoid damaging components or troubleshooting equipment, disconnect the battery cables before proceeding1Use an ohmmeter calibrated on high ohms scale or continuity light to test continuity
2Connect one meter lead to electric outboard negative BLACK battery cableLeave this meter lead connected for all the following tests
3Remove bottom cover plate from pedal baseConnect second meter lead to pin that will pierce wire at spliceTest for continuity at both sides of splice in BLACK lead in pedal base:
Meter must show continuity If meter shows no continuity, repair or replace battery cable connection
reseal wire at test area with OMC Black Neo-
