2Turn the speed control switch to OFF
3To avoid serious shock or meter damage, touch wire to both of the arc suppressor leads momentarily to discharge the capacitorRemove one arc suppressor lead from terminal strip or speed control switch4Connect ohmmeter to arc suppressor leads: The meter must show no continuity(The meter may show momentary continuity, then go to infinity00) If meter shows continuity, replace arc suppressor
