Power Pack Removal 1Separate the power pack connector(s)Twist and remove the primary lead covers from the ignition coils 2Notice the fastener, washer, wire, and clamp locations before removing any screws
3Remove the power pack mounting screws and remove the power pack and washersPower Pack Installation

1Clean the power pack mounting bosses to provide clean engine ground2Assemble the correct sequence of washers and locatethe power pack on the powerhead or ignition bracket
3Carefully install the power pack ground lead where indicated and install the retaining screwsTighten the screws to torque of 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)4Apply isopropyl alcohol to the Amphenol connectorsAlign flat areas and carefully plug togetherSecure with wire retainer where used5Lightly coat the openings of the primary lead covers and install them on ignition coil terminalsObserve proper wire routing and ignition timingrefer to Ignition Coil InstallationAfter replacing any major ignition component, verify correct maximum spark advance using the procedure outlined in Section 1
