Carburetor Body
121 1Check all drillings and passages with syringe filled with
isopropyl alcohol2Visually inspect all gasket surfaces for nicks or irregularities3Check for excessive throttle shaft playCheck for throttle valve '3l 4If necessary, remove the calibration pocket core plugs to inspect the pocket for damage or restrictions: Drive small punch not more than le in (3 mm) through plug and pry out Install new core plug with the convex side upSeat the plug using flat end punch and plastic malletApply Gasoila sealer, OMC PIN 200763, to the rim of the core plug after it is seatedf41 5If necessary, remove the lead shots to inspect passages for restrictions or leaks: Gently pry up on lead shot with sharp-edged tool Install new lead shotFlatten shot with flat end punch and plastic malletCheck for leakage1sl 6Check for leaks between emulsion pickup tube and carburetl=J or body: Invert carburetor body and fill idle circuit with isopropyl alcohol Check for leaks at point If leak occurs, blow dry and apply drop of OMC Ultra Lock at point
