Disassembly
1Remove the propeller or test wheel from the gearcaseInspect the condition of the propelter hub1sl2Drain the gearcase by removing first the oil level plug then the oil filldrain plug CD
3Remove the copper water tube from either the water pump or the exhaust housingrJl4Remove the four impeller housing screws with washersSlide the impeller housing and impeller up and off the driveshaftRemove the impeller drive pin Q)1sl5Pry under the impeller plate to loosen itSlide the plate up and off the driveshaftScrape all gasket material from the plate, gearcase, and impeller housing 6Slide the driveshaft out of the gearcase7Remove the shift lever pivot pin and discard the O-ringr,()l8Remove the six screws attaching the lower gearcase to the upper gearcasef11l9Using soft face mallet, tap the skeg on its sideRemove the lower gearcaseDiscard the rubber seal between the two gearcase halves10Remove the cradle
