Water Pump Servicing25 Comm 28 Disassembly 1Remove gearcase as described in Gearcase Servicing, this Sectionr:jl 2Remove the four impeller housing screws with washersSlide the impeller housing and impeller up and off the driveshaftRemove the impeller drive pin 3Pry under the impeller plate to loosen itSlide the plate up and off the driveshaftScrape all gasket material from the plate, gearcase, and impeller housing4Remove and discard the impeller housing seal and water tube grommet5Inspect the impeller, plate, and housing for excessive wearAssembly f21 1Apply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to the metal casing of new driveshaft sealInstall the seal using OMC Upper Driveshaft Seal Installer, PI 330655Install the seal into the impeller housing with lip of seal facing away from the toolCoat the lip of the seal with OMC Tripe-Guard grease2lightly coat the exterior of the impeller cup with OMC Gasket Sealing CompoundInstall impeller housing linerThe liner locks in place in the impeller housing with two square tabsf31 3Oil the blades of the impellerIn counterclockwise direction, twist the impeller into the impeller housing COA3434 COA3433
