Disassembly
To simplify reassembly, layout the various screws and clamps in the order of their proper locationf1l 1Remove the three screws retaining the crankcase head to the powerheadUsing mallet and punch, drive the seals from the crankcase headDiscard the O-ring and sealsf21 2Remove the exhaust cover screwsIf necessary, tap the exhaust cover edge with rawhide malletRemove the inner and outer exhaust coverscarefully separate the piecesCheck the inner exhaust cover for pitting and flatnessIf pitting exists or the cover is warped, discard it and replace with new cover during reassembly
