Tighten all three screws to following torques: Two side screws15-17 ftIbs(20-23 Nm) Center screw28-33 ftIbs(38-45 Nm) r:;;l9Apply OMC Locquic Primer and OMC Nut Lock to the four screws, lower mount to bracketInstall the screws and lock washersInstall the locknuts on the upper mount screwsReplace the locknuts if definite resistance to tightening is not felt L!!J
& 10Torque the mount fasteners!
Torque the upper mount nuts to 30-32 ftIbs(41-43 Nm) Torque the lower mount screws to 24-26 ftIbs(32-35 Nm) 11While holding the steering handle assembly in place under the steering arm, install the two screwsTighten the screws to torque of 28-30 ftIbs(38-41 Nm)Install and tighten locknutsReplace the locknuts if definite resistance to tightening is not felt12Route the steering handle throttle cable and stop button wires through the grommet in the lower engine coverPosition the lower engine cover on the exhaust housingInstall the screws, with washers, through the support bracket into the adapterTighten the screws to torque of 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)13Install the gearcase as described in Section 614Install the powerhead as described in Section 4
