Always use "Iintfree" shop cloth when handling power trim and tilt componentsIf painting the unit is required, paint it after it is completely assembledPainting of individual components may cause flakes of paint to enter the hydraulic passages during assemblyTape the trim and tilt piston rods before paintingr:;l 1Screw the manual release valve inRemove the retaining LJ ring using retaining ring pliersRemove the manual release valve2Inspect O-ring and two plastic split rings on the manual release valve for nicks and cutsInspect tip of valve for damageThe two plastic split rings are not available separatelyIf rings are damaged, replace the manual release valveo
