Starter Circuit Check Chart INotel Battery must be fully charged
Procedure
Remove black lead from ground at CDConnect voltmeter between CD and common engine groundTurn key to START positionVoltmeter should show battery voltageConnect meter at Turn key to START position
aIf no reading, go to Step
Check voltage between ground and CD
Steps" thru Remove starter to solenoid cable from (j) to prevent starter engagement while making checks
bIf meter reads battery voltage, reconnect black lead to ground and go to Step
Ei Check voltage between ground (II and INotel Steps thru key OFF before connecting and disconnecting meterTurn key to START position after connecting
aIf meter reads battery voltage, lead is open between CD and
.bIf no reading, go to Step
Ei Check voltage iii and
between ground
