Gearcase Service Removal

i and remove all spark plug leadsDisconnect battery cables
at the battery
1Avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing; twist

2Rotate the propeller shaft and shift the gearcase to FORWARDRemove the shift rod link retaining pin3Push the shift rod link toward the powerhead to disengage the shift rod
[!] 4If equipped, remove the trim tab from the gearcase5Using 58 inthin wall socket, remove the screw flat washer6Using insocket, remove screw
