f1l 2Disconnect the timing sensor plugAttach the OMC Ignition OMC Ignition Test Kit, PI 434017, to the timing sensor3Move the analyzer selector switch to position "A"
4Connect the analyzer to 12-volt source
] 5Loosen the timer base detent screwr.il 6Move both the inside and outside detent tabs completely forward on the detent plate1sl 7Be sure the timer base lever is against stop on the flywheel cover1sl 8Rotate the crankshaft in clockwise direction until the timing pointer aligns with the idle timing listed in chartIdle Timing All Models
