Driver Coil Resistance
f211al Disconnect stop button wire and ignition coil primary wire

from breaker plate output socketHold breaker points open with clean match or strip of paper Calibrate ohmmeter on low ohms scaleConnect ohmmeter red lead to breaker point terminal screw and black lead to clean breaker plate ground Ohmmeter should read 1.72.7 ohms If your test results are different, replace driver coilBreaker Point Test To check the electrical condition of the points, leave the ohmmeter red lead and black lead connected to points terminal screw and breaker plate ground as aboveCarefully remove the driver coil screw without disturbing the position of the driver coilLift driver coil ground wire slightly, away from laminationsCalibrate ohmmeter on low ohms scaleRemove match or paper from breaker points and open and close points Ohmmeter should indicate very low ohms or continuity when the points are closed Ohmmeter should indicate infinity (00) or open circuit when points are open If your test results are different, clean points as described in Breaker Point Cleaning and retestNever file points to attempt to get points to test goodIf points do not test good, replace themReconnect all circuits disconnected in this testCondenser Tests The ignition analyzer provides three tests of condenser condition: leakage, resistance, and capacity
