STEP 5- IGNITION MODULE RUNNING TEST r-:=J Make all running tests at the engine RPM where the
intermittent or high speed ignition problem existsThe correct RPM can have an effect on identifying the problemRoute all tester leads so they do not interfere with moving engine parts1Set PRV to "NEG" and "500"Twist and pull the primary leads off the ignition coilTurning in clockwise direction, attach terminal extenders to the primary terminals of the coilReconnect primary leads to terminal extendersObserve wire routing: orangeblue lead to the No.1 (top) cylinderall tester leads so they do not interfere with moving engme parts2Connect meter black lead to clean engine groundStart engine and run at RPM where problem existsr;3l3Hold the meter red lead against metal part of the No.1 coil extenderDo not hold metal part of meter lead when engine is operatingStop the engine Meter should indicate continuous reading of 150 volts or higher
