1Disconnect 6-pin Packard connector from ignition module
1al2Insert thin wire, such as paper clip, about 14 in(6 mm) into slot next to blackyellow lead, terminal "E"Gently pull the lead and slide its terminal out of the connector body
i or spark tester during cranking tests
'" To avoid possible shock hazard, do not handle ignition coils

3Connect Packard connector to ignition moduleDo not allow terminal of blackyellow lead to touch powerheadCrank engine and observe results at spark tester If spark now jumps alternately at each gap, the problem is in the stop circuitGo to Ohmmeter Test If there is no spark at one or both gaps, go to STEP TEST SENSOR COIL
