11 Reinstall control handle in original position Secure with flat washer and new patch lock screwTighten screw to torque of 60-80 inIbs(7-9 Nm)Do not substitute different screwScrew supplied resists loosening to ensure retention of control handleSpecial head size also prevents chafing of electrical wires connected to trim switch 12Snap cover on control handle
13Remove retaining screw and control housing tray from remote controlDisconnect the shift and throttle cables14Remove screws that retain the remote control port and starboard housingsSlowly, pull housings apart
