11Apply OMC Triple-Guard grease to pinion and rack housing
12Turn motor parallel with steering housing Align index mark on rack with center of pinion, and place rack in mesh with pinionFit steering cable sleeve into notch in rack base13Position cover on rackHold down cover and install long (silver colored) screws at locations marked ilL"Install short (brass colored) screws at locations marked "S"Tighten screws to 7-10 inIbs(0,8-1 ,1 Nm)into the original threadsbefore turning it forwardIf the screw is allowed to cut new threads with each use, eventually too little material is left to hold the screw14Secure sleeve on steering cable and wires with tie strap next to the cable grommet
