INote To avoid damaging components or troubleshooting equipment, disconnect the battery cables before proceeding []] 1Remove the steering housing cover2Turn speed control switch to OFF3Use an ohmmeter calibrated on low ohms scale to test the condition of the resistor assembly and motor tube wiring(]] 4Connect the ohmmeter between the RED 14-Gaand GREEN 18-Galeads: The meter should show 0.17-0.23 ohm resistance If measured resistance is significantly different and motor does not respond to speed control change, replace resistor[]] 5Connect the ohmmeter between the GREEN 18-Gaand GREENWHITE 18-Galeads: The meter should show 0.36-0.44 ohm resistance If measured resistance is significantly different and motor does not respond to speed control change, replace resistor6Refer to Resist or AssemblyExcept HBF2, Page 2-21if your test results are different
