Before proceeding, be sure all components have been thoroughly cleanedReplace any seals that have been removedInspect all thrust washers and bushings for evidence of deterioration
1sl 1Install an upper steering shaft bushing, lower seal and upper seal in the swivel bracketBoth seal lips face out Coat seal's outside diameter with OMC Gasket Sealing Compound Coat the bushing and seal lips with OMC Triple-Guard grease2Install the trim and tilt unitApply OMC Locquic Primer and OMC Nut Lock to the threads of screws, stern bracket to trim manifoldInstall them looselyf71 3Coat two tilt tube bushings with OMC Triple-Guard grease and install in swivel bracket
