Lift crankshaft and crankcase heads from cylinder block and place on bench for disassembly
1231 15Replace the rod caps on the rodsOrient them exactly as 1241 16Rotate the powerhead so the cylinder heads face upRemove the cylinder heads and gently push up on the connecting rods to remove the piston assembliesProtect the condition of the piston by packing paper towels between the connecting rod and pistonDo not allow the connecting rod to contact the inside of the piston skirt during handlingand discard O-ringsTo remove seal, insert punch through bottom of bearing to engage seal lip and drive seal out with malletDO NOT reuse sealIf bearing is damaged, crankcase head and bearing assembly must be replaced
