Function Test
Conduct this test with the motor in test tank or on the boatBefore testing, loosen fuel tank gas cap momentarily to release any pressure that may have built upFuel tank must not be more than 24 in(61 cm) below fuel pump
t=I pressure gauge (obtain locally) between the carburetor and
fuel pump2Start motor and observe gaugePump pressures should read as follows :

Remove carburetor to fuel pump hoseConnect fuel

Pressure RPM PSI kPa

600 2500-3000 4500

3If fuel pump does not meet these specifications, replace it When installing new fuel pump, apply OMC Nut Lock to threads of screwsInstall screws and torque to 24-36 inIbs(2,8-4,0 Nm)
