1sl 1Install the lower thrust mountand shift rod grommet to the exhaust housing
19l 2Apply GE RTV adhesive and install the two upper mountsApply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to the four upper mount retaining screws and torque to 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm) f71 3Place the upper thrust mount and plate in position on the swivel bracket assembly1sl 4Clean all sealant from the threads on the two upper mount bracket to steering bracket screwsApply OMC Nut Lock to threads of screwsPosition the swivel bracket assembly on the exhaust housing Install the two upper mount screws and tighten to torque of 96-120 inIbs(11-14 Nm)Install caps with new O-rings and torque screws to 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)r,Ql 5Place the lateral mounts in the lower mounts bracketsApply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to threads of lower mount bracket screwsInstall the lower mount bracketsTighten screws to torque of 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)'11'l 6Position new idle relief muffler gasketInstall the muffler to the exhaust housingApply OMC Nut Lock to the muffler's retaining screw threadsTighten the screws to torque of 48-60 inIbs(5-7 Nm)rJl 7Position the lower engine cover support on th exhaust housing and torque the five screws to 60-84 in Ibs(7-9 Nm)8Lubricate the upper shift rod with OMC Triple-Guard greaseInstall the shift rod into the shift arm with pin and new cotter pin9Install the powerhead as described in Section 4
