dPry the O-ring out of the end capDiscard the O-ringeRemove the outside O-ring Discard the O-ring Clean the end cap thoroughlyfLubricate new O-ring and scraper and install in the end capThe scraper is installed with the lip facing outgLubricate new O-ring and install on the outside ofthe end caphUse wire brush to clean all thread locking material from the threads on the tilt rodLubricate the inside surface of the end cap and use OMC Tilt Cylinder Seal Protector, PIN 326005to slide the end cap onto the rod iRemove any lubricant from the threads on the rod, prime with OMC Locquic Primer, and let drySlide the piston assembly onto the rodPlace new rod O-ring over the threadsjClean any thread locking material from the threads on the inside of the nutSpray threads of nut with OMC Locquic Primer, and let dryApply small amount of OMC Nut Lock to threads of nutSlide the washer over the threads and install the nuttorque to 58-87 ftIbs(79-118 Nm)kInspect both rod end bushings and replace, if necessary22
