1Remove the propeller and mounting hardwareInspect the propeller for spun hub
101 2Drain the gearcase by first removing the oil level plug ,

water, metal chips, or burned odorWater in the lubricant will give it milky appearanceOverheating will give the lubricant black color and burned odorRemove the four propeller shaft bearing housing screws with O-rings using 516 inthin wall socket
r,Ql 4Using two special OMCScrews PIN 316982 (516-18 in or two OMC Propeller Shaft Bearing Housing Pullers PIN 330278 and the puller body from OMC Universal Puller PIN 378103, pull the propeller shaft bearing housing from the gearcase
