Stator Servicing Removal '" To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing, twist

i and remove all spark plug leads
1Remove the flywheelRefer to Flywheel Service Information, Page 3-82Disconnect stator yellow and yellowgray leads at terminal board
[!] 3Remove stator retaining screws 4Remove blackyellow lead from 5-pin Amphenol connectorInstallation f21 1Remove any varnish around retaining screw holes on both sides of statorThe stator must have metal to metal contact with the crankcase head and its retaining screws2Install the stator and route the leads3Apply OMC Locquic Primer, then OMC Nut Lockto the retaining screw threads4Tighten all screws to torque of 120-144 in Ibs(14-16 Nm)5Attach stator yellow and yellowgray leads to terminal board Coat final connections with OMC Black Neoprene Dip6Insert blackyellow lead into 5-pin Amphenol connector7Refer to Flywheel Service Information for correct flywheel installation procedureAfter replacing any major ignition component, verify correct maximum spark advance using procedure outlined in Section 1
