INotel Disconnect battery cables before proceeding with this check1Remove the rectifierregulator cover2Separate the stator yellow and yellowgray leads' connectorf413Calibrate ohmmeter on appropriate scaleConnect one meter lead to stator yellow lead and the other meter lead to stator yellowgray lead Ohmmeter should show 0.12 0.07 ohm Repair or replace stator if your results varyf5l4Test for grounded conditiondisconnect both meter leadsCalibrate ohmmeter on appropriate scaleConnect one meter lead to clean engine ground and the other meter lead alternately to both stator leads Ohmmeter should show high reading If ohmmeter shows low reading, the stator or its leads are grounded and should be repaired or replaced
