No Load Current Draw, Electric Starter Securely fasten starter in vise or other suitable fixture before proceeding with this check1Locate battery rated at 500 CCA (105 amphrs or higher that is in good condition and fully charged2Connect 0-100 amp ammeter in series with heavy jumper between the battery "+" terminal and the starter "+" terminal3Attach or hold vibration tachometer, such as Frahm Reed tachometer, to the starter4Complete the circuit with heavy jumper between the battery "_" terminal and the starter frame5Monitor the starter RPM and current draw and refer to the chart below for the correct specificationsNo Load Current Draw Specifications
